Movie Reviews of Mickey's House of VillainsMovie Review: Not as good as it should be Summary: 2 Stars
Read this review before purchasing this product. When I saw the trailer for it I was very excited. The trailer had all the villains but they were shots from the original movies. I personily love the villains, lets face it there the best! I thought if it was as good as the original movies I would love it, but sad to say it does not compare to any classic disney movie. Most of the time it was just old and new cartoons that were pretty boring. My favorite villain Maleficent had only one, I repeat ONE line in the whole movie! You may like this film, or you may not. I would advise that you rent it before atcually buy it.
Movie Review: Another "cheapie" is right! Summary: 2 Stars
I waited months for this DVD to come out, thinking that maybe Disney would begin to realize the demand for more villain entertainment. I was really disappointed. There were a few really old cartoons that I had not seen since I was a kid but other than that, it was really cheesy with no real story or anything inventive. They basically slapped together some old toons and put a new label on it.
Movie Review: Walt is rolling in his grave Summary: 1 Stars
I rented this DVD because I thought a movie where all the Disney villains get together might be interesting. Boy was I ever WRONG! Here's the story: The Disney villains go to the House of Mouse to watch movies. At midnight they kick Mickey out and watch more movies. BORING! There's absolutely NO plot. You hardly even see the villains because most of this movie is filled with past and present Disney short films. And it's very easy to tell which short is old and which is new. The old films were actually drawn well. I don't know what happened to the Disney staff between then and now. It's like all the artists forgot how to draw. All the new animation in this DVD is very cheap. The mouths never match up to the voice. This DVD is so cheap that they even stole comedy lines from "The Simpsons"! HONEST! I was expecting an epic adventure where the Disney villains get together and take over the earth or something and it's up to Mickey to stop them. Instead I get the Disney villains sitting down to watch movies. BORING! I guess if I want to see Disney characters done well I have to buy a copy of "Kingdom Hearts" for the Playstation 2. The only reason why this game wasn't screwed up is because Squarsoft made it. If you're a true Disney fan buy "Kingdom Hearts" and AVOID "Mickey's House of Villains."
Movie Review: The Most Disgusting Summary: 1 Stars
I cannot believe that Disney would release this mess! The movie is full of old clips from cartoons that we've seen 100 times before, and the Villains are shown for about 5 minutes throughout the whole movie. And when they show the villains, there's no magic or anything. They are running from Mickey because he has on the Sorcerer's hat. There are about 8 Halloween cartoons throughout, and they do not include any villains. They show stuff like Huey, Dewey, and Louie scaring Donald on Halloween, and I know that everyone has seen the one Halloween cartoon where the characters mentioned above meet a real witch on Halloween and she helps Donald's nephews put a spell on him. Huey, Dewey, and Louie are dressed like a devil, a ghost and a witch. I know that EVERYONE has seen that cartoon before, yet, it's the first cartoon they show on this terrible dvd. Do NOT buy it. Save your money for something worthwhile. It seems as if Disney never has good "straight to video" releases- I guess that's why they go straight to video.
Movie Review: Quite a Jip Summary: 1 Stars
What has been promoted as an all out battle between the Disney good and evil is merely a cable Halloween special with a hefty price tag. Overly laden with the old "classic" halloween cartoons that are replayed every october and new (mildly to little entertaining) strips written just for the show there is very little plot. It is true that in the beginning Mickey is in control and then Jafar kicks him out, and later they try to "out Magic" eachother in a final "battle." However the entire plot of the movie, which comes in tiny spurts in between clips, can't last any longer than 5 minutes in entirety, effiectively making it simply another cartoon. This is not a movie to waste your money on. You can see almost the same thing by flipping to the Disney channel in late October, although the cable version may be slightly more interesting.
