Movie Review: A definite Disney Cheapie
Summary: 4 Stars
All of the cartoons in this DVD are Disney classics. When I was little, we had these cartoons in their original anthology form, when the Mirror-Mirror of Snow White was narrating the whole thing. We watched it faithfully every Halloween as a sort of 'tradition'. Then we grew up and kinda fell out of it, but a recent nostalgia for the days of old inspired me to get this DVD.All of the classics remain the same; they are truly golden. BUT, the host's narration and the resulting theme thereof were very very cheap. The vocal acting was awful and the plots were not what you would expect from a Disney production. That is why it's so cheap. But if you long for the Halloween classics that you thought were lost just like I did, go ahead and get this movie; it's a good buy. If you're buying it for your children, it's not a bad buy either. Who knows? Maybe it will become their Halloween 'tradtion', just like it was for me back in the day. ^_^ And believe me, those are memories that you look back on with fondness and longing.
Movie Review: A Homage to the Disney Cartoons of Old

If like me, you can remember back to a time when Halloween meant not just candy and costumes, but spooky, cartoony specials on the Disney Channel, you'll be just as delighted with Disney's House of Villains as I was.Having just made the move to college, I was disappointed at the prospect of spending my Halloween night alone, with no trick-or-treating, and even worse, none of those Disney Channel specials I was always so crazy about. I had heard about the iminent release of Disney's House of Villains, but did not know just what the DVD would be like.
Once I learned that one of my favorite classic cartoons, "Trick or Treat", was going to be presented on this DVD, I rushed out to purchase it.
I was not disappointed. House of Villains mixes the old classics with a few new cartoons that just may become classics in the years to come. And for lovers of the classics, you can't beat the enhanced color and sound of "Lonesome Ghosts" on this DVD.
This is the perfect treat (and trick) for any family collection.
Movie Review: My 5-year-old loves it!

I'm not going to discuss audio or video quality, even tho I'm both an audiophile and videophile to the point of occasionally considering therapy. I buy this stuff for her. The Disney villains are at the heart of the Disney success, and they are collected together here doing their thing. You'll find no excessive violence or inappropriate messages/themes/language. It won't teach her rocket science, brain surgery, or the meaning of life, but if you're looking for another DVD to add to your collection to entertain your child in the car, at the restaurant, or at home, this one works. It makes her happy, even after 20 or 30 times through, so it makes me happy too. Enjoy the time off duty!Movie Review: Entertaining and a great addition to your Halloween Holiday movie collection!

Anyone familiar with Mickey's House of Mouse will recognize the formula for this movie. The villians come into the House of Mouse and everyone is treated to Halloween movies, until the time comes for the villians to take over Mickey's place! While some of the vignettes aren't really Halloween oriented they are still enjoyable, and certainly the addtion of such classics as: "Trick or Treat" and "Lonesome Ghosts" will be a joy for any true Diseny Fan. Some parts might be a little scary for sensitive or small children, but otherwise it is a lighthearted entertaining Halloween Treat!Movie Review: Fun for kids

This is probably more for kids...my daughter (5) loves it. It's a nice assortment of different cartoons with a Halloween theme. It's not very scary or suspenseful, though, just fun.
