Movie Review: Always a Great Experience to Watch Tormé in Action!
Summary: 5 Stars
A show to celebrate the American Song, with a creative Frank Loesser medley, from the composer's 'Guys and Dolls' and a full of energy revival of big band repertoire.
Superb command as a vocalist in action along with a superb command of the big band behind him - ooh it is fantastic to watch Mel Tormé on stage.
Features Tormé's long time drummer, Mr. Donny Osborne. It is also sensational when Tormé himself sits at the drums and plays a hommage to Gene Krupa. Great!
I must agree the sound quality is not that top one; it is not even the best Mel Tormé ever; however it is Mel Tormé, dig it?
