Movie Reviews of Me Myself IMovie Review: Great fun movie for adults. Summary: 5 Stars
I absolutely love this movie! It's a lot of fun to see Rachel Griffiths as the single Pamela Dickson who pines away for a boyfriend she regrets not marrying runs into herself, or rather her Doppleganger who actually did marry the guy and has 3 kids, a house and the works. This intriguing movie that starts out as science fiction comedy and becomes a drama, is a great illustration of "Be careful of what you wish for!" when Pamela discovers that maybe what she thought she missed out on wasn't all that perfect. The only beef I have with this movie is that the director never actually explains how the two Pamelas switch places. This fast-paced movie is a lot of fun, but has some language and a few racy scenes not really appropriate for young eyes, but it's perfect for a nice evening's entertainment.
Movie Review: not for every taste Summary: 5 Stars
If you like sophisticated comedy with insightful and psychologically well-informed content, this is a movie for you. The filmmaker could have oversimplified either married life or single life, but didn't. She could have glorified one or the other, but didn't. Neither life is ideal. Neither lifestyle gives Pamela everything she wants and wanted. There are no easy answers and no easy way. Single or married, Pamela will have to work at it and to accept a less-than-ideal life. In the end, she does. And Rachel Griffiths, of course, is priceless!
Movie Review: Great Movie Summary: 5 Stars
One of the best movies I've seen in a long time... addresses the question "what if" we had made other choices in our lives - How would our lives be different? What would stay the same?. I especially liked it because, unlike movies like "Family Man", it doesn't romanticize one path or another but rather shows the (realistic) highs and lows of being married vs. being single and how you can be happy with either life style.
Movie Review: Great Movie! Summary: 5 Stars
Great acting by the main lead Griffiths. It is a very watchable movie. Do not get fooled by the cheesy cover art since it is a great movie. Enjoy.
Movie Review: Griffiths Shines! Summary: 5 Stars
Great execution of the "What If" where we all spend a great deal of out thoughts trekking through. Rachel Griffiths is terrific.
