Movie Review: A Little Cheesy But Great Flick!
Summary: 5 Stars
I remember I saw this movie when I was a kid of course with high expectations of it being more than it was but I wasn't disapointed. This movie really didn't have much of a plot and the bad guys (ie Blade)had the worse lines imaginable and were predictably incompotent as He-man's adversaries. Still there was the general excitement of seeing this movie over again. An Dolph Lundgren relic from childhood. It's a shame this flick didn't do much for his acting career. Frank Langella as Skeletor stole the show. He was more evil than say Khan from Star Trek TOS. His lines were in prime form and he didn't waste his words saying stupid one liners. This was a great movie and I still enjoy watching from time to time. The DVD could've had some extras like interviews with the actors though.Movie Review: race for the key of grayskull

screen stuff like the air centorians fight sequence and the most
ellaborated sets and the state of the art special effects make
up is frightening like frank langella`s skellator effects make
up metamorphises i think an movie like this is great fun to do
superb direction from goodard who allso directed lost in space
masters of the universe is an great sample of how an movie should
been progressed cant wait to see it on region2 dvd version

The world of Eternia in the aftermath of Skeletor's war on Castle Grayskull, which he has won after seizing Grayskull and the surrounding city using a cosmic key developed by the Thenorian locksmith Gwildor. The Sorceress is now Skeletor's prisoner and he begins to drain her life-force as he waits for the moon of Eternia to align with the Great Eye of the Universe that will bestow god-like power upon him. You don't have to be a die hard fan of the series to enjoy the movie. It's great fun, imaginative, and it captures a moment in time. My review is short and simple. I am a child of the 80's and I think that this movie does great justice to the He-Man story. I dont care what people think. It does a great portrail of He-Man, Skelator, and all of the other characters in the show. Some of these other critics look to much into the movie and try to break it down. You are just suppost to watch and enjoy. All this movie brings me is joy. I've been watching it just about my whole life, I'll never get over it. It has great effects, and is, for a science fiction action movie, very believable. Putting a name like Masters of the Universe as a title makes you a winner already, and then further more to put Dolph Lundgren in it as Heman, well you have yourself a winner. Lundgren looked and acted the part as many of us fanatics out there pictured him as, well the image anyways. Any fan of the cartoon will like this movie for the fact that one of their childhood heroes is brought to life with a story line that follows the cartoon very well. So if you are a fan of the cartoon check this movie out for your own sake otherwise you might miss out......
