Movie Review: Worthy sequel to the amazing original!

Having seen the original Maniac Cop, I say honestly that this is a very good sequel. It picks up literally right where the original film leaves off, with much of the surviving cast and continues the story from there.
There's lots of tie in the original and the story and plot are both fairly decent. The cinematography and effects are probably even better than the first film and there is definitely more action this time around.
These sequels have been really hard to find, for some time now, so if you're a fan I suggest picking them up while you can. The DVD for this film was, as has been noted, very bare bones. No extra features to speak of, but at least the movie is available. The quality of the movie itself in terms of video is very good and the audio is up to par as well. If anything, I'm glad they didn't go cheap in that department.
All around, this is a truly worthy sequel to the original Maniac Cop and should be in your collection if you're a fan of the original. Get it while you can!
