Movie Reviews of Making Love

Movie Review: One of the greatest and most mature movies made about love ever.A gay classic!
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie has aged like fine wine.A sensitive and mature look at gay relationships, and how gay men find themselves and there place in our society. This movie touched me deeply.I can't watch this movie even now without crying. This movie has three of the most honest character portrayal's of love I have ever seen in any movie.
Making love can touch anyone, gay or straight.Love is universal.

Beautiful 16:9 transfer, and wonderful sound really bring this classic to life.
I highly recommend you add this beautiful film to your dvd collection, while it can still be purchased at such a bargain.

Movie Review: IT WAS A MUCH NEEDED MOVIE. WHAT A CLASSIC!
Summary: 5 Stars

'Making Love' (along with Personal Best) opened in threaters at a time when positive LGBTQ movies were unheard of...at least in threaters. If you are a collector of LGBTQ (especially pioneering) movies, then this should be on your shelf. At the time of its release, the LGBTQ communities around the world were estatic, because this movie was being shown to the general public. It was advertised along with all of the other blockbusters. This isn't just a 'B' gay themed movie. It is an exceptionally well made movie. Finally, we could go to a movie and be the majority with regard to the audience.

Movie Review: Making Love
Summary: 5 Stars

Excellent movie, for it's time, when I went to the movies, it was a groundbreaking event for the gay/bi lifestyle. Where now, is this time and age, it would be thought as of nothing more than a regular movie, which would be scoffed at and made fun of just like the Oscar Award winning BrokeBack Mountain. But, which movies really made the money and which did not. You can bet Making Love and BrokeBack Mountain will be making money long after many other great movies has faded to dust.

Movie Review: Making Love by any other name
Summary: 5 Stars

I remember seeing this movie many years ago on TV. Of course, I wondered what was left out. When I saw it was on DVD, I ordered it. The movie was well scripted and well acted. It may not be true to life, but it is worth watching. It depicts how gay flings can break up heterosexual marriages. I would highly recommend this movie especially if you like Harry Hamlin, Michael Ontkean, and Kate Jackson. All three are good actors and make it real and believable.

Movie Review: Sensitive and moving, ESPECIALLY for 1982 TV!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a story that reminds us how stifling (ignorant, bigoted, hateful... pick your word) our culture is toward alternative lifestyles, and why it is so important for people to know themselves before being pushed into relationships sponsored more by friends and family than by their own emotions. If you are old enough to have seen it broadcast on TV, or if your VHS copy of it is now worn out, you'll love the technical quality of the DVD re-release of this excellent story.
