Movie Review: A lovely movie for the whole family!

I just resently watched Love Comes Softly, and found it to be an excellent film. It has been so long since I was able to see a good, clean movie with no bad language or other immoral things in it. This movie is about a young woman who goes out west with her husband, but to her dismay, he dies shortly after their arrival. Winter is coming and she has no hope, until a young widowed man asks to take her in. She is forced to live with a man she hardly knows and his daughter. Over the course of this movie, Marty finds that sometimes love comes, just softly.
An absolutely fabulous movie, that I believe, everyone should see!

I bought the DVD because the Hallmark Channel was just not playing this film often enough for me. What a beautifully simple and warm love story! Perfectly cast and filmed in the perfect setting, Love Comes Softly is much needed respite from the blood and gore and action-filled films playing in theatres. Perhaps this film has enduring charm because it is realistic, with no gimmicks. I always enjoy watching this film - and I always feel restored afterward! Do yourself a favor - this one is a keeper you will watch, with the whole family, for years. I thought the movie was excellent, as christian movies there should be more of them. As a christian the filth in most of the movies these days isn't worth any of our time and especially for our children and our daughters trying to raise them in this day and age, we need more Faith based, christian morals in our homes. I recommend this movie highly you only give it a 5 star rating I give it a 10 star rating in my book. Thank you very much for selling these types of movies and please please please give us more of these movies that are Christian with Faith, Morals and Christian Values. I recently purchased this book at a yard sale. I enjoyed it so much I bought the rest of the series. They were all great. So much love and Christian belief. Later I purchased all the books so I could compare them to the movies. They were a lot more detailed. I was happy to see that they didn't kill off Willie Lahaye and Drew Simpson in the books, they were my favorite two characters. Such good, young actors. Dale Midkiff played Clark Davis with so much passion, he was the part. I'm a 70 year old great-grand mother, I'll surely hand these down. All but the first DVD was purchased off Amazon.com, used.Movie Review: I love this movie!

This is one of the most incredible movies I've ever seen. It's such an awesome picture of God's grace that He offers to each and every one of us. One reviewer mentioned it was not believable because "Marty" is quite a bit younger than "Clark". Well, I don't care if Marty is a lot younger than Clark - to me, it's believable based on the time period it was based on. This story could have actually happened. And, God is awesome enough to have had His hand in all of it and worked it all out. I would definitely recommend renting it - I have bought all 3 movies in this series - they're all great!
