Movie Reviews of Lord of the FliesMovie Review: An incredible movie from start to finish Summary: 4 Stars
Lord of the Flies is a movie about the test of man and nature.Though sometimes this film reminded me alot of the Tom Hanks film castaway.Lord of the flies is a way more intersting film.It at times can be hard to watch with it's violent content and an excesive use of language.Lord of the flies is an action- packed thrill ride. The actors who portrayed ralph and piggy did an extroadanary job. This is a film that I think the Academy awards should have given a few nods like for Best Actor,Best Supporting Actor,Best Adapted Screenplay,Best Sound,Best editing and so on.Lord of the Flies is an excellent book and it's a vividly imaginative film.
Movie Review: By the book. Summary: 4 Stars
I read Lord of the Flies in high school and was intrigued by its unusual content. I, of course, had to dissect the book to expose its 'symbolism,' but unlike many works of poetry and literature, I agreed that this one actually made a statement. When the remake came out I was anxious to see how filmmakers would interpret the disturbing island living of the young boys. The film stuck by the book in a surprisingly accurate manner. Before watching the film, read the book. It improves the entertainment value of the movie and makes everything make more sense. I was not disappointed with the film and have seen it more than once.

Movie Review: 3 stars out 4 Summary: 4 Stars
The Bottom Line:
The child acting is sometimes imperfect, but this mainly-faithful adaptation of the novel succeeds more than it fails--by making the relationship between Piggy and Ralph a bit more friendly, it sacrifices a bit of Golding's allegorical vision to make a more compelling narrative.
Movie Review: Great Teaching Tool Summary: 4 Stars
I purchased the movie as a supplement to the unit I taught on Anarchy. The stduents related to it and fully understood it. IT is important that we teach not only the fact that we have rules, but why they are so important and and what life would be like without rules. This movie did just that
