Movie Review: Best Western

This movie is without a doubt, the best western ever made, in fact, it maybe the best movie ever made. The acting, characters, screen shots, scenery, are outstanding. This movie is Robert Duvall and Tommy Lee Jones' masterpieces of their excellent careers. I have watched this movie numerous times and I walk away from it shaking my head in awe. Anyone who watches this movie will get a very good idea what the old west was like, no holes barred. Lonesome Dove is a classic movie and an excellent bargain for the price.Movie Review: awesome, quick service.

I had bought the movie for my grand parents. They could find it nowhere in stores and they had requested some stores to order it in for them. Everyone told them it was no longer available and they were quite disappointed (they had worn out their VHS copy). So I figured I'd check amazon. 30 seconds later I was ordering it and a week later it arrived in their mail. They were ecstatic and I was glad I could help them out.

Few westerns are in the same league as LONESOME DOVE. Simon Wincer captured the heart of Larry McMurtry's beautiful story about a 2,500 mile trail drive. Robert Duvall ( in what I believe to be his finest performance ), and Tommy Lee Jones as two ex-Texas Rangers are perfect in this amazingly, powerful epic ( the rest of the cast is pretty amazing as well ). This movie is the greatest Western story ever with Robert Duvall who is excellent for his role and others too. It's Robert Duvall's best acting ever and he was funny and great as Gus. I watch it so many times and never gets tired of it. I love the book on Lonesome Dove about how they made this greatest movie and it's excellent book! This movie has a lot of my favorite actors - Robert Duvall - who stole the entire series with his witty Gus, Tommy Lee Jones - the gruff mysterious one who women want to love, but don't understand him...the list goes on. Wonderful story line. You care so much about all of these characters. I just wish the follow up movie and the prequel could have been as enchanting as this movie...but alas...there can be only one.
