Movie Reviews of Living on Live FoodMovie Review: Great DVD for Beginning Raw Summary: 5 Stars
This is a great DVD for those new to raw food. As mentioned by other reviewers, there is a continual conversation with two ladies who taste each recipe. One lady is particularly annoying with her over-enthusiastic comments and facial gestures. However, despite this I have given the review 5 stars as I have a large number of other raw DVDs and this is one of the best un-cooking DVD out there. You almost get use to the conversation after a while and you do learn additional suggestions to modify the recipes. The conversation also offers tips and tricks and glimpes into Alissa's life.
Other DVDs I'd recommend are Raw Food Made Easy by Jennifer Cornbleet (no conversation in Jennifer's DVD) and Raw For Life: The Ultimate Encyclopedia of the Raw Food Lifestyle by Tony Robbins, Woody Harrelson, Morgan Spurlock, and Reverend Michael Beckith.
Movie Review: Enjoyed the DVD's Summary: 5 Stars
My husband watched the DVD's before I did, and he's not even into raw food generally. He thought the food looked good enough that he couldn't wait for me to start making the recipes in her book.
I got this DVD (and the book) when I first found out about raw food, so I found the casual approach and question-and-answer format to be more appealing.
Movie Review: She will make you believe! Summary: 5 Stars
I enjoyed watching this video. I already purchase the book, but of course seeing how the recipes are made really helped. Also she went over all the questions I had on my mind about the diet. She gives testimonial about how changing her diet changed her life.Great video very discriptive. And informative.
Movie Review: Quick and Easy Raw Food Dishes Summary: 5 Stars
LOVED IT! Showed how quick and easy the healthy lifestyle and raw food preparation can be. Awesome recipes like the Lemon Pudding, Pizza, and Pasta with Marinara sauce were just divine! Kudos!!
Movie Review: LOTS of info Summary: 5 Stars
BIG book and awesome information and a lot of it...the DVD left more to be desired but it was helpful when I was exploring the raw food diet way of living.
