Movie Review: Best Thin Lizzy Video Ever!
Summary: 4 Stars
Great "Live and Dangerous" concert footage with Gorham/Robertson that looks great on the big screen and has excellent 5.1 sound. Phil Lynott's massive talent as a frontman / bassist / vocalist is incredible to watch, it's such a shame he's gone already. His songwriting talent was underrated and underappreciated IMO. Additional concert footage with the John Sykes era lineup is also very cool, plus video clips that include Eric Bell (Whiskey in the Jar) and a yound Gary Moore on at least one song. Seeing that brought back memories of my only time seeing Thin Lizzy live, in San Franciso circa 1979 with The Cars opening, and Kansas headlining. Gary Moore was all over the stage, and just the most incredible guitarist I had ever seen. He left an indelible impression on me. The Interviews with Brian Downey, Scott Gorham and Brian Robertson are insightful and very cool, hearing there perspective and recollections of the early days of the band. True fans don't miss this one...it Rocks.
