Movie Review: WHAT!??! No CC for the deaf???

As kids, we enjoyed this TV series when it aired ~30 years ago. What a thankful break from the junk on the air these days.
This being the 21st century with DVDs, closed-captioning and all, I figured this would make an excellent gift for my deaf mother, so she could enjoy for the fist time the shows she watched us watching as we were kids.
***Imagine my shock to see that this series had no CC!! Who's dumb idea was that?***
I figured the video was horribly grainy because the TV series was old, but my Columbo and Mission Impossible DVDs were aired earlier, yet have excellent audio and video quality. And closed-captioning!!!
**Whoever dubbed this LHOTP stuff should be taken out to a pasture.**
This DVD set should be re-mastered and purchasers given free copies of that which we rightfully paid for.
(I don't remember the details of the episodes I watched as a kid, so I can't confirm what others are complaining about regarding the deleted scenes. But given the bad sound and video quality I can see on my DVDs, I wouldn't be surprised if there were deleted scenes.)
