Movie Reviews of Lethal Weapon 2

Movie Review: Mel,Danny and Richard reunite!
Summary: 5 Stars

The success of the 1987 Warner Bros. action film LETHAL WEAPON inspired director Richard Donner to reunite with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover for this first of three sequels which was more successful than the first film. Oscar-winner Joe Pesci(GOODFELLAS,THE SUPER,MY COUSIN VINNY,BETSY'S WEDDING,HOME ALONE 1 & 2) joins the cast as Leo Getz, who is often a nuisance to Sgt. Roger Murtaugh(Glover) and his partner-buddy Martin Riggs(Gibson). Not only that,Roger and Martin tease Leo often as if they were grade school kids. Leo's tagline is "Anything you need,Leo gets!". Once again Darlene Love again plays Roger's wife Trish. The Murtaughs' kids are back as well. The funniest scene in this film, believed by many,is when Roger sits on his toilet in his upstairs bathroom, and a planted bomb inside the Murtaughs' home explodes. In reality, that would have been sad. Patsy Kensit(BLAME IT ON THE BELLBOY) plays Martin's love interest. Great music soundtrack which includes the late George Harrison performing CHEER DOWN during the end credits.

Movie Review: Lethal Weapon 2
Summary: 5 Stars

Los Angeles P.D. officers Roger Murtaugh and Martin Riggs are back, and this time they are chasing a thug in a red BMW. When the car crashes, several million dollars in Krugerand - South African currency - spill out of the trunk. After Murtaugh is ambushed in his home by a group of South African thugs, they speculate that the vehicle they were chasing may be linked. When their captain assigns them to guard a witness in a drug case, they soon find out that the drug dealers the witness was dealing with are South African diplomats hiding behind their immunity to carry out cocaine smuggling. Riggs also discovers that one of the consulate employees is in fact the murderer of his wife After the thugs kill a consul secretary Riggs was in love with, and several fellow police officers are murdered by the diplomats, Riggs & Murtaugh exact angry, bloody revenge against the psychopathic drug-dealing diplomats. The action in this movie is kept in the same style as in the first movie and it is still both exhilarating and entertaining.

Movie Review: Great Entertainment
Summary: 5 Stars

I have all of the Lethal Weapon movies & they're all great! Action packed movies that will make you laugh, make you cry & keep you on the edge of your seat. Mel Gibson & Danny Glover are both great actors that work magnificently together & seem to have a great working relationship. I don't think that a better duo could've been chosen for this series of movies! They go together like peanut butter & jelly. I'm so glad that these two played in all the movie sequals. It just wouldn't have had the same effect if Gibson & Glover hadn't returned to their roles that they made their own in all the Lethal Weapon movies. These two are definately irreplacable! I highly recommend these movies to anyone & everyone who wants to enjoy a great movie experience. The Lethal Weapon movies are classics in my book.I never get tired of watching them! Where most movie sequals aren't as good as the origional, you won't find that with these movies - they're all great!

Movie Review: Exploding toilet!
Summary: 5 Stars

This is a great sequel to an action classic. Riggs and Murtagh are back, and this sequel is where we first meet Joe Pesci's character Leo Getz, who constantly goes on about being conned(putting it politely) by the drive-thru, hospitals, and so on! Plenty of great action scenes and laughs as the two out-of-the-ordinary cops bend rules to go after South African drug lords who have diplomatic immuntiy . . . and the bomb-on-Murtagh's-toilet scene is hilarious. You can't help but laugh!

Movie Review: I,m gonna die on the toliet, ain't I?
Summary: 5 Stars

It's been two years since we were with the dual. Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh are back, and with even more kicks and laughter. It has some very funny scences, including a toliet and condom one you just have to see. The two are assinged to protect a witness, (Joe Pesci). How are they going to keep themselves and him alive?
