Movie Review: A mid 20th Century retelling of El Lazarillo de Tormes
Summary: 4 Stars
This film is not a typical Tin Tan comedy, in fact, there isn't much comedy going on. This movie depicts the chronicle of the life of a man with no future or meaningful present. His odyssey is one of corruption, theft, and survival.
This film is proof that Tin Tan could take any role and run with it. He was very believable as the vagabond Pito Perez.
After watching this film, I place German Valdez in the same leage as Arturo de Cordova and even Pedro Infante.
