This movie was put together very nicely. Diana Ross was just great at her part. I really enjoyed watching Billy Dee at his very best. What a hunk! Richard was also very good in his very short spot. the opening scenes, when they introduced the title and the actors blew me away. i said to myself, no way could that be diana ross. the glamor was gone, replaced by a real actress. her performance surprised even me. a must see dvd. equal to her tv performance in "OUT OF DARKNESS". I saw the movie in the theaters twice. Once in Mexico City and another in San Francisco. The ending was different. Maybe because the foreing ending was too much for the people from the United States. Diana Ross was excellent in this motion picture. Billy Dee Williams and Richard Prior both had Stellar performances.
If you have never seen this movie before, I'd recommend picking it up immediately....it's hard to get!

I remember watching this movie back in the 70s. I enjoyed it very much and am happy to add it to my cult classic collection. If you like a good musician biography to add to your collection like Ray, The Dreamgirls, or even Walk Hard---this is the movie.
