Movie Review: A Very Heartfelt Production
Summary: 5 Stars
On its own terms, this movie is a winner. Why is it that totally true to history or not, actors today cannot be this believable. The performances are universally convincing. Made in 1985, why is it that everyone in this movie put their heart into their performance, and thus I was mesmerized and delighted. When you shed a tear for these young people caught up in the tragedy of political manipulation, it will be no more than the tears of these young actors, so convincing and so deeply rendered. How I wish I could own twenty films like this one!Movie Review: THANK GOD!!!

I, for one, am SO very thankful that Lady Jane is now out on DVD. I was obsessed with this movie as a teenager and am so thrilled that I can now own it--instead of watching my worn out recording from TV. (In the past, it's been 100 bucks or so for the VHS version...)Yipee!
This is a beautiful film! Although not quite historically accurate, it's a moving love story that will melt hearts!

This movie is compelling. Idealistic child-adults who want to change the circumstances for the people of England. They had wonderful ideas and thought they had the power to carry out their ideas and make life better for their people. Unfortunately, their parents carried the real power. This film is based on a true story and is well acted. My daughters like it, too.Movie Review: A must-see for period fans.

From the first time I saw this movie nearly ten years ago, I was hooked. To this day, I cannot watch it without crying! Despite the dramatic license, this is a remarkable story, with a remarkable young woman at it's core, just another in a line of increasingly more remarkable Tudor women. This is a great movie and story. I highly recommend this movie to anyone who loves historical movies. The actors did a marvelous job and the story line is great. It is not boring or slow. I love Lady Jane and Shakespear could not of written a more tragic play. The seller did a great job, highly recommended!!!!
