Movie Review: killer constable goes way beyond a normal kung-fu movie, everybody in the entire world needs to experience this.(EDITED)

I picked this up with 9 other movies, and this is the second I watched. It's title is lightining kungfu in the 10-pack. I looked it up and was told by IMDB that this starred Sammo and Beardy and was called the victim. Not so. What I did get was one of the best movies that I have ever seen. Killer Constable has to be one of the best movies in execution I have ever seen. The character played by chen kwan tai(baddie in crippled avengers) is my new favorite character ever. This movie has to be seen to be believed. Don't expect some fairy tale story, and don't expect your average revenge plot, this one takes the revenge factor by a whole nother angle. You also won't get the best kungfu ever, but you will see one of the greatest movies ever. This movie (lightining kungfu) is in a ten oack with shaolinvs. manchu, macho man, swordsman with an umbrella, etc. I think the box says fists of fire, swords of fury on it. The flip side of this particular disc has kungfu for sale on it, and it's actually prett good with some REALLY good cinematography on it. I need to see the other eight movies in this, but I will write a review for all of them on here when I see em.

Now I actually have this version that is distrubeted by red sun. The reason I buy the red sun titles is because it can be hard to get some of these shaw classics remastered and uncut, but this one is not remastered. It is slightly better quality than my brentwood 10- pack version, but the reason to buy this is to get the UNCUT version. There is a lot of story that they cut out in the brentwood version, and when the night time scenes happen, you will be very glad like I am to have this version. You are not meant to be able to see a whole lot during the dark scenes. And there is a reason these sceses are so dark. You will find out. But it is a cool idea cause you can see in certain parts of the darkened room and even though you can;t see them fighting you do get flashes and they are going at it. Expect lots of heroic deeds being done and no great kung fu but many limbs being severed and awesome a great lead character. I can't say it does the best job of development but there is some in there it is just not meant to have this guy start out badass and then he meets a wife and calms down. No he just keeps on spiraling out of control. If you want a movie where guys are always pulling out sweet ass weapons and always hurt and always dripping blood wherever they go and will always be ready to take on 1 against a 100 like jimmy wang yu, and everything is always dark and raining, then you need to see this gritty tale of a group of constables looking for criminals. It is amazing how the simplist stories can end up having more twists and turns then your best psychological thrillers. The director of this movie dhas directed a lot of category 3 films(r-rated in US) and this is the only fu movie I saw on his credits. While there is no sex, there is still some pretty awesome stuff that will stick with you till the end of your movie going life.
Now like I said it is not remastered like most red sun titles, but then again it doesn't say it is. I was dissapointed when I saw it and nby the end my spirits were lifted after seeing the extra 15 minutes of footage.But then I noticed tday that the dvd cover is not misleading at all it says english dub, special limited edition, and says 4:3 screen. When I popped it in right away I though it was the exact copy I already had, then about 10 minutes into the film I didn't recognize a scene. Well i figured it out and I am more than happy. This is seriously like watching lord of the rings extended cut after seeing the theatrical version 10 times like I have already seen with this movie, it is that good.
And the only special feature is a 32 minute trailer that is a complilation of around 30 trailers. Pretty cool.
