Summary: 5 Stars
After reading the rave reviewing on Amazon several weeks ago, I decided to try Ravi and Ana's Kundalini Yoga for Beginner and Beyond. Oh my, am I glad that I bought this DVD!
I have been working out regularly in the last few years, doing cardio and strength training 5 days a week. I consider myself very fit. However, I was getting a little bored with my workout routines and looking for something different, something that would allow me to stay fit AND sane given the stress of being a working mother. This is exactly the DVD that I needed! I felt the effect after doing it the first time and have been using it EVERYDAY ever since.
The poses definitely work on your major muscles. The meditations between segments and Ravi and Ana's pleasant voices are very calming. Doing this DVD makes me feel more alert mentally and less irritable at the "small stuff" in my daily life. In fact, I am so addicted to the DVD that I actually decided to get their Fat Free Yoga as well.
Caveats: it took me a little time to get used to the breath of fire. In addition, if you are new to yoga, you may want to do the poses/moves at your own pace.
In summary, I just cannot say enough good things about this wonderful piece of work that Ravi and Ana put out. I am so grateful that I found it. Thank you, Ravi and Ana, for inspiring me!
P/S: I would love to see a cookbook from Ana!
