Movie Review: Believe the good reviews, this movie rocks..!

A movie about love, fantasy, honour, action, and one of the most memorable scenes ever seen on film (The cyclops turning away from his destiny to save his friends, and dying a horrible death due to his unselfishness) this is the type of movie that you will remember forever. The actors were likable, the bad guy scary, I must say though I would have liked to have seen more of the Glaive as it is one of the greatest weapons ever seen in a film, James Horner's music was fantastic, the special effects were breathtaking and even now after 18 years, it is still a fun film to watch, get it if you want to remember a time were movies were made to entertain poeple, not made for critics to review and find fualts in. Krull is one of those movies, which every fantasy and sci-fi buff should have! The movie has a great story line, and is full of beautiful sights and sounds. I guarantee that you have never seen anything like this one! I remember seeing this movie when I was a teenager and loving it, and Krull is just as good now as it was back then. The characters in the movie are great. The cyclops, the bandit, the red haired beauty, the old man, and who can forget the part with the old woman in the spider cave! I don't wanna ruin it for those who haven't seen it, so I'll say no more. Bottom line...GREAT!Movie Review: Great Score

If you are a James Horner fan, this movie is worth watching just to see how masterfully James Horner composes music for each scene. James Horner does it so well that its like a ballet. The music perfectly fits the action going on. Also the movie has the actor Freddie Jones giving a fine performance as Ynyr. He delivers lines very eloquently. The scenery in this movie is very beautiful. There's one part where the characters are riding flying horses. In that scene Liam Neeson has a great look on his face. It's heavy-handed.It's cheesy.The costumes look like they're from a high school drama department.The special effects are "special."Never mind,it's the PERFECT film for those days when deep thinking does not come to mind.
I owned a "Krull" comic book loooong before I ever beheld the wonder of the movie.
"Krull" lacks CGI&epic length of many movies today,but it IS fun in it's own dumb way.It's not supposed to be deep--despite the heavy-handed moralizing at some points.Enjoy it for its flaky fun!

I watched this so long ago, when my children were toddlers. One day I was cruising through the movie channels, and I found this old 80's movie that I had forgotten that ever existed. It was showing the scene with a very young Liam Neeson and Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid of the Harry Potter Movies) and I just sat there mezmerized all over again. I LOVE fantasy type movies, and this one I remembered from way back. IF you want Mild violence and great fun, this is the one you want to see.
