Movie Review: Touching portrait of father and son
Summary: 5 Stars
A career-driven man, insensitive to his wife and son's needs, is suddenly immersed in parenting when his wife (Meryl Streep) leaves him and their son to find herself. Throughout the film, as Ted adjusts to the demands of parenting, his career suffers, but his relationship with his young son grows. Over a year later, when his wife returns and tries to regain custody of the boy, Ted fights to retain custody.
The movie presents a well-done portrait of a family - the conflicting demands of a relationship, parenting and personal growth. It also tells the touching story of a father and son, and the sacrifices the father is willing to make in the name of love. A classic as powerful today as 25 years ago.
Movie Review: Extraordinary Movie!

I first saw this movie in Manhattan the week it was released. Watching this two-hour masterpiece felt like 10 minutes. I was completely riveted to the screen. The last movie I experienced like that was "Schindler's List".
Kramer vs. Kramer is a must-see movie. I'll admit it loses a little bit on the smaller TV screen (just about all movies do). If possible, view it on a large screen TV (at least 34") and pump the audio through hi-fi speakers or headphones. If you are under 40, the movie may seem a bit dated to you but the basic emotions will touch you deeply. If, like me, you are closer to retirement years than you are to college years, then you'll enjoy this film for the classic that it is.
Movie Review: Sensitive portrait of divorce.

Kramer vs. Kramer starring Dustin Hoffman and Meryl Streep is the best film of the '70s to win best picture. This is one of those films that have a heart, soul, and incredible acting from both of its leads. To me, this is Hoffman's best performance, he plays the husband whose wife has just walked out and left their son behind, Hoffman plays the character so real and gutsy. Streep plays a not so nice person but you learn later on in the film the reasons why she had to leave and start a new life for herself. I highly recommend Kramer vs. Kramer, this is a must for any media collection. Enjoy!Movie Review: A touching movie on divorce.

Kramer versus Kramer is a movie that still touches the heart today as it did in 1979 when it first came out. No wonder why it earned five Oscars. The story focuses on the struggle of a father and his son after mother decides to get a divorce. You learn about how father and son can get along in both the best and worst of times. The story line can get to those who have suffered through this before in their life time. Dustin Hoffman, Meryl Streep and Justin Henry delivered outstanding performances in this movie classic. All I can say is I have seen this movie over and over again. Every time I cry in the same parts. It will leave you considering what is the best thing for you to do.
As a child of divorce myself it brings up all the hurtful feeling you go through yourself and the painful reality of how much a divorce hurts you, and your parents.
This is a must if you are separated I believe!
To see the impact this Divorce has on Billy will shock you in to reconsidering if you could try again to make it work.
