Movie Review: Plenty of Action
Summary: 2 Stars
Since the latest Van Damme movie releases have barely contained any action scenes, it's refreshing to find that Knockoff is full of fighting and martial arts sequences.Unfortunately, Van Damme tries hard to appear somewhat [slow] at the beginning of the movie, and then suddenly becomes serious and then [slow] again. While I can't explain the need to change personalities, these transitions do reduce the plot to nothing more than an unorganized mess with kicking and punching tossed in between.

...I actually paid eight bucks to see this in the theatres! Hey, I know Van Damme is an awful actor and frankly I don't find him that great of an action hero but at least, sometimes, he's somewhat entertaining. But when I saw this, my thoughts on van damme sunk to an all new low.So many problems witht this movie. Let's start with the small things. It is horrribly done. The camerwork is horrendous and the special effects are extremely cheesy and pointless. Those of you who may think that Rob Schneider is going to help this film on many levels...sorry, you're wrong. He's a very funny guy and, unfortunately, he got this horrribly written part. Van Damme, he's just awful!
The worst part of this piece... is the story! WHAT THE HELL? That's what I was saying the whole time I was watching this bomb! Something about selling products that are knock offs and Van Damme is a big cheat or something. Suddenly, there is all sorts of action and baddies and it turns out that everyone that Van Damme thought he could trust...he can't. WHO CARES? So Van Damme starts runnning around town, fighting people for no reason and screaming lines like "YOU LIED TO ME!" in that horrid French accent of his.
So, to finish up, Knock Off is an awful film. Don't pick this up. Please listen to me, I'm trying to save you here. We only live once, so don't spend any of that precious time on this! Knock Off makes Batllefield Earth look FANTASTIC! Van Damme, you have got to stop making movies!

i am van damme fan because of his martial arts skill. that is the only thing in this movie. the story suck, the acting suck. the only good thing is the action and great camera work by the director. for my rating of buy it, borrow it, or bury it. borrow the movie watch it, keep the fast forward button handy. and then bury the movie.Movie Review: Refund due to Viewers

When I first saw this movie at the Theater I wanted to demand my money back. How anyone could find this movie entertaining must have went to school on the short bus. This movie has definitely hurt Jean Claude's career. The material was terrible and Lela Rochon's talents were wasted. Don't waste your time on this movie.
