Movie Reviews of King Solomon's Mines

Movie Review: King Solomon's Mines
Summary: 5 Stars

King Solomon's Mines is truly one the best movies about Africa. The scenery is spectacular. The story seemed to be a never-ending confrontation with wild animals however it was interesting to see the
the variety. The native tribes were also interesting, especially the very tall Watusi and their dance. The actors portrayed believable roles and the movie deserved the two Oscars it received. I will watch it again and again.

Movie Review: Awsome African scenery.
Summary: 5 Stars

As a fan of the King Solomon's Mine "series" of movies, this one is by far the best. The scenes of Africa are wonderful and the Watusi dance is beautifully done. If fact, the dance sequence is so spectacular that it is worth buying the dvd just to see it. I highly recommend this early version. Richard Chamberlain's version with Sharon Stone is a great version also.

Movie Review: Africa rules
Summary: 5 Stars

This movie filmed on location in the 1950's gives the viewer scenes from some of the best wildlife preserves in East Africa. The movie loosely based on the H. Rider Haggard novel of the same name spends most of the time on the journey to the mines. The cast does well though the ending is rushed. It is a chance to see a part of the world many people won't get to.

Movie Review: Wonderful classic!! They don't make em' anymore!!
Summary: 5 Stars

Great old movie!! One of my favorites! And super fast shipping too!!
They don't make movies like this anymore. Great actors, and great animal footage of Africa. The movie actually has a plot, and wonderful acting from two of the greats!

Movie Review: What a GREAT movie!
Summary: 5 Stars

At age 52, I have just watched King Solomon's Mines for the first time; Wow!, what a great movie-I loved it. I can't believe I had never seen it before. It is now one of my favorites; it's definitely worth watching (again & again).
