Summary of King Solomon's Mines
Faithfully adapted from the popular 1886 novel of the same name King Solomon s Mines was an exotic undertaking in 1936 when Africa remained the undiscovered Dark Continent. In the tradition of nail-biting serial cliffhangers this still-lively African adventure (Kevin Thomas Los Angeles Times) has everything in it to appeal to lovers of action (Motion Picture Herald)! Braving the deep dark jungle and barren scorching desert of Africa a young woman Kathy (Anna Lee) her faithful guide Umbopa (Paul Robeson) and the Great White Hunter Quatermain (Cedric Hardwicke) retrace the steps of her father who mysteriously disappeared while on a quest to find the legendary King Solomon s Mines. Director J.
