Movie Reviews of Kindergarten CopMovie Review: When Arnold is a kindergarten teacher kids will be illiterate but at least they'll have ripped muscle mass Summary: 4 Stars
Good morning how are you? This is us, Sid the Elf. How are you? First, we would just like to review this documentary about a time in Arnold Schwarzenegger's life when he decided to be an undercover cop and a kindergarten teacher at the same time. Thus, the documentary is entitled Kindergarten Cop. This film gives us some possible insight as to why Arnold can barley speak. Not once during the film did he teach his students academics. Instead, he focused on sit-ups, propper technique for lat pull-downs, and his ferret(which came out like fuerrett when Arnold said it).
This man is amazing. In the 70's he allowed filmmakers to document his life as a 5-time Mr. Olympia, the title given to the world's foremost consumer of grilled chicken. Then, in 1990, he let us back into his life as we see his softer side while he saves a young boy and his mother from a very dangerous Steven Segal lookalike. Arnold goes undercover in a small Oregon town to find the son and ex-wife of the villan and his mother who is also a villan. Strange subplot here. Anyway, Arnold finally finds out who the mother and ex are and actually falls in love with the ex-wife. One of the biggest shocks of the movie comes at the end, when someone unexpected saves the day. Anyway, back to Arnold. He is now governor of the great state of Cali-fornia. Amazing! The reason Sid loves Arnold so much is because there are a number of soundboards dedicated to him and Kindergarten Cop features a whopping 28 soundboard lines that make this unintentional comedy comedy hillarious. That's the best part of the movie, picking out soundboard lines.
So, if someone tells you Kindergarten Cop is a bad movie, say "No it is not true. It got Sid the Elf's seal of approval."
Movie Review: Whose your daddy, and what does he do? Summary: 4 Stars
This is by far one of Arnold's all time funny movies. I personally love his comedies and this rates close to "True Lies" and "Twins". During his undercover police work some of the funniest stuff occurs when he must sub a Kindergarten class. I fell out of my chair when he said, "Whose your daddy, and what does he do?". Many of his lines can be found at soundbyte sites since they are so funny. One site even used them in a hysterical phone prank. Don't miss this movie. The rest the cast including Penelope Ann Miller as his partner and Linda Hunt as the school principle are great too. Seeing this huge muscular man trying to teach little Kindergarten kids how to march and sing is often comical. Once he finds that he can't be so gruff and the children realize he won't body slam them they are well on their way to learning. Good story, direction, and music make it one of the better comedy cop movies. I highly recommend this reasonably priced DVD.
Movie Review: More entertaining than you might think Summary: 4 Stars
The title Kindergarten Cop is in reference to the main character, John Kimble (Arnold Schwarzenegger), a cop who goes undercover as a nursery school teacher to catch the bad guy. A key teaching aid for Kimble is his pet ferret, whom he takes with him wherever he goes (he loves his ferret so much, he doesn't even bother to name it - such devotion!). The children are captivated by the diminutive sable mustelid, and eventually learn to calm down and listen to their new teacher. Best of all, the fiesty ferret saves the day, helping Kimble catch the baddie (Richard Tyson).
This movie is surprisingly fun and entertaining, even with all the screaming kiddies. Give it a look.

Movie Review: Arnold fan review Summary: 4 Stars
I've watched all of Arnold's movies. I'm certainly a big fan of his older like movies Terminator and Commando which I own. This was one of his attempts to step out of those types of roles and play something different. As a teacher myself, I can appreciate the difficulties he had in the role he was playing. Definitely, this was a stretch for Arnold but an excellent movie. I'd recommend this movie to anyone that likes a little of everything in a movie such as action, drama and comedy- Arnold type comedy.
Movie Review: Enjoyable... Summary: 4 Stars
I will refrain from discussing the movie itself because by now you will know the plot of "Kindergarten Cop" by the other reviews. However, I will say I have enjoyed the movie since I first purchased it on VHS a number of years ago. Having said that, I am quite puzzled it was released on DVD in the pan and scan format and not the WIDESCREEN version I have come to love. It is for this reason I will not purchase "Kindergarten Cop" until it is released in the format it deserves.
