Movie Reviews of Kim Possible - The Movie - So the Drama (Extended Edition)

Movie Review: Kim Possible So the Drama IS NOT THE END FOR RON AND KIM!!!
Summary: 5 Stars

This section of my review is for the fans:

So the drama is an excellent movie that finally reaches the peak of Kim and Ron's relationship with an excellent heart warming ending to young and old.

But guess what? The series isn't done yet!

People on different sites all over automatically jumped the gun and have said, "So the drama marks the end of the Kim series".

WRONG!

The reality is that after seeing the films popularity shortly after its release on February 22, 2006 Disney announced that a NEW series would be produced. This new series will CONTINUE where so the drama left off with Ron and Kim as a couple.

Where most people get confused is this:
After the release of the movie Disney still had many un-shown episodes that occur before this move's story line. So people assumed this was the continuation. But as DISNEY announced that is not the case saying that a new series WOULD be produced. As in it has not YET so those few left over episodes couldn't be the new series.

As you can imagine Ron and Kim being so close when they play the James bond role will have its strengths and weaknesses. That is what will be so interesting to see in this new series that plays the role of the aftermath.

There are so many sources to this and actual interviews with the writers and artists.

I'm not the only one who knows it. Those who did their research and continued to listen to Disney like this site know the case:

http://www.theage.com.au/news/dvd-reviews/kim-possible-movie--so-the-drama/2006/03/08/1141701564928.html

So all those who read this don't shoot it down as a fan's hope to kindle a petition or just wishful thinking. I am not the only one who has heard this announcement by Disney.

Remember people this is DISNEY. The company is renown for continuing all cartoon series and movies well beyond what is originally intended or expected. They ANNOUNCED it. Disney is very good at keeping their word because they have the money and see the opportunity to profit from entertaining the Kim possible fans by continuing the story for at least a little longer.

So I give a huge round of applause for announcing this. Thank you Disney for creating this heart warming and funny series and an even bigger thank you for announcing to keep the story alive and continuing on with Kim and Ron story for at least a little while longer.

Series like this are a rarity today and Kim Possible is one of the few that deserves to keep going.

I am thrilled to learn that it will and rightfully so.

Again thanks Disney I eagerly await the new series.

This Section of my review is for the fans AND anybody from DISNEY:

I just pray that Disney follows up their promise of new episodes and that they PICK UP WHERE THE MOVIE LEFT OFF. I don't want to see more Kim and Ron as just friends. No offense but after So The Drama that would be kind of pointless.

So I hope that the announcement made by Disney is followed through, because lets face it, THEY WOULD STILL GET THE VIEWER RATINGS THEY WANT!

And for ONCE somebody would have pushed past that episode limit in a series. I sincerely hope that Disney produces new episodes and that they continue where the story left Kim and Ron as a couple.

I'm not just saying this because of a fan's attachment to the characters but in principle. Its time somebody throws that restrictive Episode count rule out the window and does things right.

I've watched a lot of different animes and cartoons and after analyzing them I can tell the good from the bad and I hope that Disney realizes what an asset that the Kim Possible series is. (By the way it's the best cartoon plot wise and character wise ever.)

There are just as many dedicated fans out there Disney.

Come on.

Give Kim and Ron one more shot by continuing the story. The show deserves it. Disney, you and your fans have already come this far, if its ratings you want Disney, then it is ratings you'll get!

Your KP fans wont let you down. So take your shot and don't let us down.

I know that the MAJORITY OF YOUR FANS WONT want more because they see that there is still much potential in the show and it doesn't have to be cut short for (an already done a million times) perfect ending.

Like I said it shouldn't be the ending because there is so much more room for the story and characters to grow. So in reality, plot wise, they have just reached the climax of the plot, not the conclusion!

We want to see the aftermath. How their lives change as a result and we could see their character as they continue to pull each other through tough times as students, boyfriend and girlfriend, as heroes, and to see if they can hold on. We don't want to just assume "oh they danced and kissed so its smooth sailing and everything will be alright". So you see there is more to tell. (And I'm not a writer)

K.P's story is unique, so end it in a unique way and your fans will reward your efforts.

The REAL perfect ending to this series would be to see it go on even if just a little longer whether it be in another movie or just a couple of episodes that continues the story.

So come on Disney, buckle down and do it if not for the fans but for yourself. Everybody wins if you push forward with this and do the righteous thing.

Thank you for all of the series so far. Id says it's the best thing Disney has cooked up EVER. So keep it going. I for one am not asking for an entire series. If that happens then great! As long as it continues the plot!

I just want a couple of episodes to continue it or another movie. Is that so much for us your loyal fans to ask?

Who else agrees with me?

My email is under my nickname, as you know it is part of this forum settings. So make use of it if you want. In fact as I learn more about Disney's progress ill try to keep you posted if I get your email addresses.

Sincerely,

A hopeful and PROUD Kim Possible fan.

Summary of Kim Possible - The Movie - So the Drama (Extended Edition)

Kim Possible is ready to save the world (again) in this action-packed, seriously exciting adventure. Here's the sitch: Dr. Drakken has an evil new plot for world domination, but his ultimate success depends upon finding out KP's weakness. Could it have anything to do with a certain new hottie named Eric? Kim is definitely distracted by the prom date drama. Meanwhile, Ron is up to his eyeballs in strange little Diablo Devil toys when his favorite food joint, Buenos Nachos, crosses over to the dark side. Now he's acting like such a dweeb -- just when Kim needs him most! If Dr. D can keep up the pressure, KP will SO have to surrender! But it's not over till it's SO over! Don't miss all the undercover adventure, explosive action, and never-before-seen DCOM-Extra bonus features in Disney?s KIM POSSIBLE MOVIE: SO THE DRAMA.
Opening with a Bond-style action sequence, the 2005 Disney Channel Original Movie Kim Possible: So the Drama finds our heroine attempting to foil Drakken's most insidious plot yet. What can he possibly want with robots from Nakasumi Toys (the company from the series' first episode, "Crush"), Dr. Possible's cybertronic technology, creepy syntho-drones, and the latest teen fads? Kim's used to fighting Drakken; the bigger problem is finding a date to the prom, or--worse--going with Ron, who's so not that kind of friend. Enter the new guy in school, Eric, who's cute enough to inspire cootie alerts. But that means no more hanging out with Ron, who's also having major issues with Bueno Nacho's new management. Hang-ups aside, the two friends will have to figure out a way to save the world one more time, leading to the debut of a spankin'-new outfit and a surprise ending. So the Drama marks the end of Disney's Kim Possible series. For its cool adventures, its nifty gadgets, its hip wit, and a teen heroine that appeals to both youngsters and oldsters, it will be missed. --David Horiuchi
