Movie Reviews of Killa SeasonMovie Review: Can we please have a moment of sense... Summary: 1 Stars
I enjoy Dipset music. It is by no means quality music or even sensible music, but I do enjoy the absurdity of it all. I try not to take things too seriously, so in that regard, I see nothing wrong with some fun. It was this mindset that I took into this film. I expected it to be amatuerish and cartoonish. In that regard I was not disappointed. But anyone who in anyway thinks that this movie is good needs to 1. Get their head examined, 2. Extract the gonads of their favorite rap stars from their throats and 3. Give up on life completely.
Rather than spoil the pleasure for you with exact details of what was in this movie, let me tell you what was not in this movie. There was no plot. There was no character development. There was no acting. There was no continuity. There was no logic. There was no direction. There was no attention to detail. There was no lighting. There was no ambition. There was noone to tell the cameraman to get out of frame. There was all in all no reason to make this movie at all. This was solely a vehicle for The Diplomats to try and prove to the world that they are legitimately gangsters. This is of course a complete farce. Gangsters do not get caught running away from neighborhood scraps like Jimmy and Cam'ron did in real life (or more accurately, Cam'ron ran away leaving his cousin Jimmy to get beat down).
I have watched a lot of "hip hop movies." I like to support the culture to which I belong. I will not be hoodwinked into drinking whatever koolaid you fools are drinking that would rate this travesty of cinema any higher than 1 star, and it is only 1 because there is no 0 to give it. This was cheap and embarassing. I got a few laughs in and I am still continuing to laugh as some of you jokers have the audacity to rate this film highly and pretend that it represents anything real. This is the state of humanity today. Farce has become reality and reality has become farce. Please everyone wake up and stop this madness. Enjoy the nonsense if you must, but don't pass it off as quality material. In doing so you are letting down your gene pool.
Movie Review: Worst rap star movie ever made Summary: 1 Stars
If I could give this movie NEGATIVE stars I would. This movie is so bad after seeing it not only do you want your money back, but you want your money back PLUS interest accumulated from wasted time watching it. From the jerky scene transitions to the 7th grade film class quality acting, to the non existent plot or storyline, everything about this film makes you wonder if there was anyone involved with this project who WASN'T high during its production. I'm a Dipset fan AND a fan of movies made by rappers (e.g. I Got the Hook-Up, State Property, etc), but this movie was sure trying it's darndest to correct that !
By the way, the movie is two hours. But after the first 5 minutes you've pretty much seen all you need to see (which is actual footage of Ma$e and Cameron when they were in highschool) -- after that, the movie goes downhill so fast you'd thought you fell off a cliff. And actually, with each passing second of watching it you begin to wish either you or your TV had.
Movie Review: Waste of Good Plastic Summary: 1 Stars
Oh no. Mr. Giles' charater goes from Flea to Cam then back to Flea constantly. That's unaccetable, especially since he spliced in real footage of him playing basketball. I think he should've kept it purely fiction because of all the bodies he caught. Some segments were cool, like Flex's comedy and the Spanish girls transporting drugs, but that's about all she wrote. The shootout scene is barely so-so, and the ridiculous, nonsensical violence makes an already-weak story straight-up lame. Cam did indeed make a killing sellng this DVD, but it sucks, plain and simple. Mobb Deep's DVD, Rocafella's DVDs, with Beanie as the lead man, and just about ever hood DVD I've ever seen tops this one.
Movie Review: Horrid and tasteless Summary: 1 Stars
Ohmygod, this movie was horrible and so hard to finish watching....the actin' sucked, it had no type of plot or story line what so ever, no character development, no subtance....there was nothing in this film that caught my eye, but foolishness and dumb violence to put together a quick street flick. I like Cam in music, but in doin' film, leave it to the pros, dwag...or put much more money in your film budget, because there was so many errors and mistakes in this movie, that it took me four days to watch it. And I think Cam is talented, because to me, he did his thang in Paid in Full....maybe he'll have better luck in his next film....but Killer season, I think I threw it out....
Movie Review: GARBAGE! Summary: 1 Stars
After seeing Cam in Paid In Full, I thought he was pretty funny and not a very bad actor. I could see him doing more movies....and then I saw Killa Season.....this was a terrible attempt at a movie. You would think with Dame Dash in his camp, he could have produced a better flick. The editing and acting is horrible. Even Cam's humor couldn't save this flick.
