Movie Review: What Ya'll Thought It Was Goin Be ???
Summary: 5 Stars
This is a very low budget version the two Dame Dash films State Property. Its a very raw and detailed look at what Harlem is all about. Its a graphic, funny and very realistic perspective look at a hustler's everyday life in the hood. Never mind the fact that it looks like they shot it with a camera phone, it does have a good story behind it. If you are about to watch this for the first time and are expecting to see a Boyz in the Hood, or Scarface type of a movie then this ain't for you. But even so its a good movie and cast of real gangsta's, so you get what you pay for. For the most part the people that gave this a bad review probably had high expections or they just could'nt wait to get on and trash Cam cause they some haters. It was just what I knew it would be coming from a first time movie director working with a small budget and a cast that never really acted a day in their life. After reading reviews and thinking this movie would suck, I went down to Canal street and picked up the bootleg. After watching it, I realized that I could have bought the real movie and get all of my money's worth. The only flaw is how the plotline is predictable but go figure its a "hood flick" most of them are, even "Boyz N Tha Hood" and that won awards. The only flaw acting wise is when Cam's niece is shot and he fake-cries. That is basically the only part in the movie where you would either skip or find funny. If you are a fan of Dipset or rap go pick this up, or let alone any gangsta movies, go buy it now!
Also go pick up the "Killa Season" album cuz that's hot too.

Cam'Ron's latest movie Killa Season was recently released straight to DVD. Cam'Ron acts and directs this film which also features Dipset members Juelz Santana and Hell Rell.
The movie begins almost like it is a autobiographical. Cam'Ron is seen beating a punk down who was talking trash after a dice game. The scene soon cuts to images of Cam'Ron Giles himself at a high school basketball game when he was a sophomore. Rapper Mase is also seen in these high school scenes. Cam'Ron misses the game winning shot and because of this he decides to sell drugs.
This is where the movie becomes fictional I suppose. Cam'ron is now Flea or maybe he was always Flea and they showed this old footage of Cam in high school. Flea has dreams of going to the NBA and sells weed on the side. When he steps it up and starts selling more hardcore drugs the drama ensues.
Killah Season is very violent, the title is fitting. I'm not prepared to say Killa Season is a good movie or a bad movie. It comes across as the movie that Cam'Ron wanted to make and he had the money and wasn't going to let anyone stop him. If you are a Dipset or Cam'Ron film you may want to check this movie out.
