Movie Review: One funny dame

Kathy Griffin, who is unfortunately one of the most underrated comedians in the "business" is finally available on dvd. This dvd of her hilarious standup riffs on celebrities, cheerleaders, morons, and your mom...Griffin takes no prisoners and her giddy, rapid-fire style is well suited to the material she likes to perform. Although a lot of the material on celebrities already seems outdated, it's Kathy Griffin's superb timing and delivery that make this a worthwhile viewing experience. If Griffin is your bag, buy this. Love me some Kathy Griffin. I had no clue she was as brilliant and as sarcastic as she is on this DVD. Her dish on behind the scenes Hollywood is absolute genius. I can't recall anyone that's gotten more personal about so much that goes on during functions than this lady. (here's hoping she doesn't get banned from future parties, because I can't wait for her next DVD!) Her BRAVO show "My Life On the D-List" is also great. You can get a taste of this DVD by watching her TV stand up as well. Great DVD to have handy when your parties start to get boring. Everyone will love it!Movie Review: Let me walk you through it...

Classic Kathy Griffin. I've been watching her D-List show lately because it seems to be on all the time and I think she's hilarious and I got hooked. So naturally I had to pick up the Allegedly DVD. I was not disappointed!
She's so great about not only making fun of other celebrities but also making fun of herself and how much everyone hates her. If you've seen anything Kathy Griffin before and liked it, you'll love this. For those who haven't, know that she is brash, says many "inappropriate" things, and may be offensive to people who take it too seriously.

I didn't know much about Kathy Griffin until I watched her show on Bravo, which prompted me to buy her DVD. Thank goodness! It's the best thing I've watched in a while. It's not that she "makes fun" of people as much as she just tells the truth--good and bad. What a relief to see a celebrity who tells it like is--hilariously and, yes, with a heart! Thanks Kathy!!! Please, please keep it up! (But maybe slow it down just a touch...I was exhausted at the end.) P.S. Can't stop laughing about the Macy Gray part. And the Afghanistan footage was incredible.Movie Review: Funny As Hell!!

I didn't see this dvd, but I saw the taped show on Bravo. I don't know if this is the same one, but Kathy Griffin is hilarious! I couldn't stand her on "Suddenly Susan", but her stand-up is funny! I love it when anyone in the Business makes fun of other celebrities (like Janeane Garafolo, Kevin Smith and Howard Stern). Normally all celebrities just kiss each other's butts..too afraid to say what they REALLY want.If this is the show where Kathy makes fun of Starr Jones and Gwenyth Paltrow, then this is worth getting. I laughed my ass off!!
