Movie Review: Has anyone found her "padding" yet?

I just watched this DVD last night and I can't remember laughing this much in quite a while.
Until now, I pretty much only knew Kathy Griffin from "Suddenly Susan", where she stole the show from Brooke Shields, and from her interviews about her face job(s) on tabloid shows. I had no idea how foul-mouthed she was and, while expecting this show to be funny, I never thought she was this dirty! This is not something you'll want to watch with the kids around...
This DVD will mostly appeal to people interested in A-list celebrities and equipped with a good sense of sarcasm. Don't expect any politically correct stuff on this disc. From Gwyneth Paltrow to Tommy Lee to Barbara Walters, no one escapes her negativity!
Let's hope for more Kathy Griffin shows to be released on DVD in the near future and that a cure for "flop sweat" is found!

Movie Review: This is Kathy AT HER UNCENSORED BEST !

Kathy Griffin's Life is D-list - only according to her. To her fans, she is A -list all the way, and this DVD proves it! 'Allegedly' is Kathy at her uncensored, straight-up, no-holds-barred, un-bleeped best. This a stand-up routine from 2004 that is just as hysterical today, and it's definately something you'll watch over and over. Whether she's dishing on Brooke Sheild's mom, Gwyneth, Barbara Walters and the ladies of The View or any other random celebrity in Hollywood, Kathy shoots straight from the hip, and takes aim at everyone! No one is safe from her razor sharp wit or her acid tongue...even if it is only 'allegedly' true! This lady is amazing to watch onstage. You can almost see her mind racing from one hot topic to another, and she'll make you laugh so hard, your sides will hurt. When was the last time that happened? Pick this one up NOW, and enjoy it. OK, so I loved Lucille Ball and she was always my favorite redhead -- until now! Of course if Lucy were still alive, I would probably know a little more about her than what was intended to get out to the masses -- thanks to Kathy Griffin!
Campy, inappropriate, dowing celebrities and commending some who appreciate her humor are all things that make Kathy a successful comedian! Kathy dishes out her personal encounters with Hollywood's A-List celebrities and does not have any shame in doing so!
Hey Kathy, will you be friendly with me? I am trying to get her Miami Beach show sold out! I love to see Kathy on the red carpet, presenting awards and best of all -- delivering her insatiable comedy! Kathy, keep the dish on the celebrities and you will make a fine career for yourself, baby!

Movie Review: HILARIOUS!

OK, if you've ever been a fan of Margaret Cho (before she got cracked out and scary-political) then Kathy Griffin will absolutely crack you up.
She's equally self-deprecating (especially on her D-list celebrity status) and vicious towards bigger celebrities (Barbara Walters, Gwyneth Paltrow, Douglas/Zeta-Jones) and just fully, fully funny.
I always thought she was the best part of Suddenly Susan and that her sarcastic sense of humor was what kept that show on as long as it was.. it certainly wasn't Brooke Shields!
Definitely not appropriate for the kids, but I showed this at a party recently and I think most of the people ended up going out and buying it for their own collection. Go Kathy!
PS - Bravo just optioned 6 episodes of "The D-List" so hopefully she'll be back on TV soon, too!
Movie Review: Hee-sterical

This DVD is absolutely hysterical. Yes, she slams celebrities which at first is what you'll find funny because her take on these encounters is a trip. The more you see her, hear her, you learn that it is the way she articulates her insights, her delivery & her expressions. Much like Dennis Miller who, while he has great material, is terribly funny because of his delivery. Kathy is right up there with Dennis Miller in my book. Too many female comedians rest the laurels on man-hating rants or jokes about their hormones. Kathy doesn't take any easy roads. ALL of her stuff is so original and funny and fresh and an absolute hoot. You can't go wrong with this DVD. My boyfriend loved it & he didn't know who half the celebrities were she was making fun of. Great DVD.
