Movie Review: Love And Truth Are Seldom The Same Thing

`Kasoor' is a well executed murder mystery/romance starring the lovely Canadian born Lisa Ray and Aftab Shivdasani as her client, love interest and accused suspect in an ongoing murder case.
Disc 1: The Film
Synopsis: Shekhar (Aftab) is a wealthy newspaper editor accused of brutally murdering his wife. During the early phases of the trial his sensitive and caring demeanor helps convince his defense attorney Simran (Lisa Ray) of his innocence. As they work together to prove his innocence they fall in love and plan to marry. Is Shekhar really the kind affectionate person he appears to be, or is it merely a clever façade to gain his freedom?

`Kasoor' delivers a well produced, expertly directed story that sticks to the serious nature of the subject matter from beginning to end, there is no silliness or comedic inserts that Indian films are so well known for. This film will hold your interest to the very end and if it doesn't at least you'll have the extremely attractive Lisa Ray to look at.
