Movie Reviews of Just One of the Guys

Movie Review: 80's Movies Rock
Summary: 5 Stars

This is one of my all time favorite 80's movies. It starts with this girl, Terry...Who is fed up with no one taking her writting seriously. When one of her teachers tells her she should give up writting and become a model something snaps. Terry takes an article that she's been working on, to a school across town and registers there...as a GUY! It's a great type of "tootsie" movie, where the girl is in Drag, gets to go into the boys locker room, and hangs out with all the hunky guys. When she is in drag, it's funny because it really is unbelievable that she's a guy. It's almost cartoonish, how non-boyish she is...But everyone buys it. Whats even funnier is her 15 year old Virgin brother, that is horned up all the time, and looking to get laid by any means necessary! Very funny, very cute 80's movie!

Movie Review: Classic! Very fond memories =)
Summary: 5 Stars

I'm a product of the 80's & love everything about it from music, to cartoons, and to the movies. I'll always love She-Ra & Jem & The holograms. This movie was so funny to me growing up & has only gotten better with time. I am not going into full details but Terry is a girl who wants to be a writer for a paper. Her article gets turned down & a guy was picked as the winner. She decides to dress up as a guy, attend another school to prove a point & submit the same article but as a man as she thinks she lost the competition because she's a woman. While being a guy she falls in love with her new best friend Rick & ends up finding a deeper story & article to write about. This is a must have for any fan of the 80's or people in general who like comedies. For the price it just can't be beat.

Movie Review: Can You Put a Price on Dignity?
Summary: 5 Stars

This is the question I constantly ask myself while watching this masterpiece. Rick Morehouse, played by the legendary Clayton Rohner, commands respect when on screen. Rick is a true James Brown enthusiast who feels an impulsive need to dance like a fruit anytime he hears the Godfather of Soul. This movie really has so much to offer but the dignified performance given by Clayton Rohner is what truly captivates me and steals my heart, my mind, and my tears. A true epic. To not buy this movie would be a disservice to you, your family, and the American film industry. Thank you Clayton Rohner. You give me hope, strength, and most of all dignity.

Movie Review: Fun in the 80's
Summary: 5 Stars

I saw this film in the theater in 1985. It took forever to make it onto DVD. It is worth the wait. Now, its being remade with Amanda Bynes renamed "She's the Man". There is no way Amanda Bynes is flashing in the movie like Joyce Hyser did in this classic.
It was nice to see Sherilyn Fenn as the teen age tease hitting on star Joyce Hyser prior to her "Twin Peaks" and "Boxing Helena" rolls.
This is the typical teen comedy from the 80's, in the same class as 'Last American Virgin" and "Mischief". Worth watching, and you'll flashback to the good old days when a kid could have fun in High School without fear of "Sexuall Harassment".
