Movie Review: FUN!
Summary: 5 Stars
This video is a lot of fun! My four year old and I enjoy doing these dances together. The 18 month old even joined in. I had a blast. The dances are practiced and then done with the class. The DVD is well book-marked for stopping, practicing, and finding just the segment you want. My four year old did find it difficult at first and needed extra help and practice with me.
Summary of Junior Jazz
Junior Jazz is an introductory jazz dance lesson aimed specifically at children ages 4 to 6. Teacher Rosemary Boross covers four styles of dance within this "jazz" presentation: hip hop, musical theatre, rock, and swing. After demonstrating and explaining the individual steps within a combination, Miss Rosemary invites young viewers to dance along with her, two young adult helpers, and a small class of preschool children. Each dance combination has an animal theme like "Hippo Hop" and "Jungle Monkey Swing" and is set to fun original music composed by Bruce Stephen Foster and Brian Sepel with lyrics by Boross. --Tami HoriuchiA high-energy jazz class for children ages four through six. The class begins with a simple warm-up and stretch by teacher Rosemary Boross and her beginner pre-school students performed to exciting percussion music. Following are four different dances in four different styles of jazz. The dances are demonstrated and explained step-by-step to make it easy to dance along.
