Movie Review: Great movie for a Sociology class
Summary: 5 Stars
One of my students recommended this movie for my "Advertising and Society" sociology class. I cannot personally identify with this movie, I would not watch it just to watch a movie, but to explain concepts, and theories, and critiques, and paradigms for the advertising class, this is really perfect. The constant, in-your-face display of brand names is phenomenal. Students will identify, after a few minutes, all the "hidden" ads contained in our environments; they have a great time with the teenies who decide that one color is out, and the other is in. When watched in conjunction with a good textbook (such as Twitchell's ADCULT USA), it is blatantly apparent that indeed, advertising is culture, and culture is advertising. What a great movie to show for this class. I highly recommend it.

Movie Review: Don't think, just watch

Anyone who ever watched the cartoon or read the comic should know that Josie and the Pussycats is always about three girls playing music and solving groovy mysteries. Anything else is window dressing. But this movie actually provides some snappy one-liners, good chemistry among the actors, and catchy music. Not to mention a hilariously nasty send-up of boy bands. The funniest moments come when actors break down the fourth wall and acknowledge that they're in a movie. Incidentally, Rachel Leigh Cook pulls off the lip-synching very convincingly, which puts her ahead of most other actors who attempt it (George Clooney in O Brother, Where Art Thou springs to mind). Josie and the Pussycats!...This movie was an amazing,Creative,original film with a great twist that i think blew everyone away.Such an idea that,everyone was happy and famous and rich.....but then you really find out what goes on (quote) "Behind the FAME!..."
My FAVE charactor was totally MELODY,such an imagative,sunny loving "SNUGGLE BUNNY" as Jo said.There has to be a sequel.It would be the Producers LOSS if they didn't,weeellll maybe also the WHOLE WORLDS LOSS TOO.I think i have watch the movie about 50-150 times (for real)!... soooo give the movie 5/5 />SUPER

Movie Review: this is a great flick - much better than expected

I avoided this movie for a long time, being that it just looked horrible. Then, one boring night it came on cable, and since I had watched everything else already, I gave it a look...And I laughed my arse off! It totally makes fun of the target audience it was made to entertain. I mean, don't go looking for an award winning movie here (not artsy-fartsy), but it's stupid fun and is worth a damn good laugh or two. I'm not big on dumb humor movies, but this has just enough twist (and clever twists) to keep me laughing. I was VERY surprised to have enjoyed this movie as much as I did. That was one of the parts from Josie And The Pussycats. It was a great movie------I just saw it today!It's a great movie, and i think everyone should see it. It's a great movie, and I loved it. It was entertaining, and the music was GREAT. I also wrote a review for the album, even though I haven't gotten it, cuz i wanna! The music is really good! BUY THIS MOVIE (once you're able to, of course!). Thank you.
