Movie Reviews of John Tucker Must DieMovie Review: a typical teen flick with a better ending! Summary: 4 Stars
Brittany Snow has the perfect chemistry to play the lead role, Kate Spencer! She brings delight, charm and certain sympathy to the role making this film better then it should be! Jesse Metcalfe is a little old to play a high school kid, but still, he looks young enough in scenes that it's not a big issue. his acting is just average. & speaking of too old to play high school teens, Sophia Bush & Ashanti are also stars here! though they look terrific, Sophia is a little more believeable as a teen here then Ashanti and their acting is fine! Arielle Kebbel does a good job as well as these three girls set out to destroy John Tucker's reputation and manlyhood. there are quite a few hilarious scenes! though this movie has been done many times in different ways, I think John Tucker Must Die has a certain uniqueness and likeability factor and I would recommend it!
Movie Review: No Points Off For Fluff Summary: 4 Stars
I agree with the folks who say this movie is fluff, it's predictable, and the plot isn't believable. But sometimes this type of movie is good to relax with, (not a challenge,) and I think the people who made this movie accomplished what they set out to do.
I gave it four stars because overall it was well done within its genre and it did have redeeming social value. The girls gave the guy a taste of his own medicine, and the point hit home when their scheme worked a little too well. They wanted to teach him a lesson, and learned one themselves. Great for teens.
I was able to enjoy it all the way through without losing patience. It was funny in a cute way, and didn't overdo the silliness.
I prefer to reserve five stars for movies I would enjoy watching more than once. It's good, but once is enough.
Movie Review: Really enjoyed this one! Summary: 4 Stars
Not the best movie ever, but it is cute and is funny. This is a chick-flick, so guys would probably not like this one. The basis of the story is that Brittany Snow plays "kat"...or is it "kate.." a girl who feels anonymous to everyone. Then she moves of course to a new town where no one knows her until she gets in the middle of a fight with 3 girls who claim their dating John Tucker. All the girls are upset and Kate tells them she would "get even" and that is exactly what they do. The only bummer about the movie to me is the ending...not exactly how I expected it, yet it wasn't totally depressing.
Basically if you liked movies such as "Mean Girls", "Clueless", "How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days". etc.. you'll enjoy this movie.
Movie Review: Good for a laugh and/or to pass time Summary: 4 Stars
John Tucker is the high school hero that every girl wants to date - he's on the basketball team, is good looking, his family is rich, etc. Tucker dates different girls at the same time. When the girls come to know of it, they decide that they are going to show him what it feels like to have your heart broken.
If you like high school comedies about popularity, this is a good movie. Some cons were that the movie was too short and I didn't feel the main character's personality changed that much when she underwent her apparent transformation. If you are looking for some laughs or just want to pass sometime, this is a good movie.
Movie Review: A Hilarious Film!!! Summary: 4 Stars
For a chick flick, this has a really good storyline and is very funny! I had seen it before, but it had been a while. I recorded it 4 days ago, and I finally finished it a few hours ago. Brittany Snow plays a high-schooler named Kate who has never had a boyfriend. While she's working at a restaurant, she sees John Tucker dating three beautiful girls at different times. They all find out, and with Kate's help, they get revenge on him by breaking his heart. If you love comedy, you'll love JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE!!!
