This was a gift for my son's 23rd birthday. His amazed delight upon opening this was, for me, just the best. "Where did you FIND it?!" Jim Henson's Storyteller was possibly his favorite TV show as a small child. Listening to him excitedly describe it to his fiancee made me feel pretty good. This may have been his favorite birthday gift.Movie Review: Still good for nostalgia

I got this series of short stories because my kids watched it when they were small, and they loved it. The special effects aren't as fantastic as they are now with CGI, but Henson as always, picked stories based on what they could teach young children--the Aesop of the 20th century. The stories presented are still charming, quaint and teach valuable lessons. There's no question they will enchant another generation.Movie Review: I loved these little short stories as a kid

The Definite Collection of "Jim Henson's The Storyteller" is really great.It contains both the first and the second season in two dvds.I had seen it on tv when i was a child and i was excited to see it again.I would like to see some extra features to it but i don't complain, it's amazing that i found it on dvd afterall.
