Movie Review: Truly, truly I say to you...

I really like this movie! Jeremy Sisto is a wonderful Jesus and really captures me. I have watched this movie at least 10 ten times and bought it as gifts for my mom and boyfriend. If you like viewing Jesus in an unorthodox way, you will enjoy this movie for sure. Jesus is depicted as a real person (like you or me) before he becomes Jesus as most of us know him today. This movie seems so real to me that when I watch it, it's as if I'm really watching Jesus. So lovely!

I believe that any movie that emphasizes the love of Jesus Christ and follows the Holy Bible deserves 5 stars. This movie was moving. One of the reviewers said Jesus "fell in love" in the beginning of the movie -- not true! I highly recommend this movie for a new Christian or someone wanting to get an intimate look into His life and what He did for all of mankind. This movie will bring tears to your eyes as you realize His unconditional love.Movie Review: special edition

scenes CBS and Trimark were unwilling to show in the U.S.
version (Voice of God the Father at Jesus' Baptism ; Jesus
in modern times with a group of young children). If you have a multi-region DVD player ,this is the version most people who
enjoyed the film would prefer.
Movie Review: Better Then The Passion
Summary: 5 Stars
This movie came out just before Mel's opus and thus has
gotton kind of pushed aside.
Pity.
It shows a Jesus that dances and hurts and loves and
its not ACTION JESUS ala the Passion with subtitles
and lots of blood. It attempts to give more complexity
to Jesus and, to me, it works. I'd rather show my
kids /this/ Jesus then just a flayed martyr any day.

I absolutely adore this film because it shows exactly how human our Lord was. He had emotions, He had fun, He laughed, He cried, He loved, He felt fear. Too many films portray Him as a moving statue who spoke with no feeling, had no sense of humor, and was rather unlikable.
This movie helps me understand better exactly who He was, by helping me identify with His humanness AND his deity.
