Movie Review: A great movie, don't listen to the bad hype!

I really liked this movie! I had heard so many bad reviews on this movie so I never went to see it or bother renting it. I think it was just because Gili was so bad. This movie was so cute. It kept me laughing, crying and my interest (which is most important!). I think all the actors worked well with one another and the plot was well thought out. I personally had not ever seen the other movies made by the man who made this one but I really liked this one! I mean if you like chick flicks, with love and hope, you will love this movie; if you don't, you will hate this movie. Because the plot is just like almost every other chick flick.Movie Review: Very Sentimental, Very Touching

Ok...I love movies where you laugh and you cry. And I really liked Jersey Girl. It is a cute movie ! The little girl is absolutely adorable. The scenes between her and Ben Afleck are great. I think Ben did a good job with this, he is perfect for the character. I also liked George Carlin as Ben's father, that was perfect casting. The scenes where Ben's character becomes a widower are very sad. And I was crying into my kleenex.
I don't know if small children could relate to this movie, because it does deal with the mothers death. But I thought it was a touching and fun movie.

One word-Briliant! I loved this movie. It is sad and happy at the same time..The wife, Gertrid, dies at child-birth but at the same time, brings new life into the world, who just happens to be named after her..This movie made me cry and also made me laugh..It is wonderful..i have rented it several times and also went to see it in theatures..in my own words:" You will break out in laughter and also drown in tears at certain times in the movie"..It is terrific! It was totally fantastic. The dialogue was classic Kevin Smith. He has a unique style, and it shines through right from the beginning. ("They're all just coked-up whores!") Then the acting was absolutely INCREDIBLE. George Carlin, Liv Tyler, and Racquel Castro could not have possibly been any better. Then top it off with a nicely picked soundtrack (maybe not QUITE a Tarantino movie soundtrack, but hey, what is?), and it just makes for a really well done, really enjoyable movie.Movie Review: Great Movie

This is a great movie. I love Kevin Smith's "stoner" movies, but as a parent myself, I really enjoyed this. It shows that the man has a real talent for film making in other genres. I can't see anyone in my 30-something age group, who has children, not enjoying this movie. It has all of the wit and humor of his other movies, but on a slightly different level. I say good job. It's a very well done, good movie. Bravo my friend.... bravo!
