Movie Review: Classic Redford

"Jeremiah Johnson, made his way into the mountains..." This DVD should make it's way into your video collection. A good ole' fashioned mountain man movie. The DVD itself doesn't have all that much on it, but the video transfer is pretty good considering this movie was filmed in 1972. So, take my advice and give this movie a look. I was not alive to see this movie when it came out, and as a general rule I don't prefer movies that are old save the best. However, Jeremiah Johnson may very well be in my top 35 favorites. The acting, directing, cinematography, and grand sweeping narrative are all spot on. This will always be one of the great adventure movies in my collection. This was one of the first movies I bought for my DVD. I still can't believe the clarity this has compared to the original. I used to always watch this when it was on T.V., but it was like watching a filmstrip. Watching this on DVD is like seeing it for the first time again. The features it has also are awesome.
