Movie Review: This movie changed our lives

Based on the true life story of John Johnston, Jeremiah Johnson is a timeless story of the American Mountain Man. This movie has all of the elements. A great love story, action and drama. The historical accuracy is not exact, but pretty close!
This is a great family film and has lots of wonderful information. After watching this movie, you'll want to know more about the way of life in the early 1800s!

Jeremiah Johnson This movie was new in the box, and its condition was same. The shipping time was short a usual for Amazon. Robert Redford, in a clasic western. As a beginer mountain man, he fit the bill to a T. Will Geer was perfect in his roll as the gritty old timer. Great Movie, one of my all time favorites.Movie Review: One of my all time top 10.

Great Utah scenery, and Robert Redford too! A good story sprinkled with humor, adventure and a touch of sadness. Two scenes stand out for me: 1) the "you skin Grizz pilgrim?", and 2)at the end, when they Jeremiah Johnson and his mentor are talking while eating some rabbit, "what month of the year do you figure it is, March, maybe April?" - a very moving part of the movie.Movie Review: Great Western

This is another one of those great Westerns. It's simply a classic and a great movie. Redford is excellent and so is the story line, except for the sad ending. It's somewhat of an indictment of our society and the way we look down on those who aren't like us. It shows the harshness of the old West and the way people had to eke out a living in some pretty tough conditions.Movie Review: God! What an Epic!

A sweeping tribute to an American legend. This one movie, barring all others, has made me a lifelong Redford fan. The beautiful shots of the "Rockies" (filmed in Utah) lend an unescapable sense of realism and believablility. The hard and calloused characters Jeremiah meets throughout this movie are just as credible. What a story! What an adventure! Get swept up in this one!
