Movie Review: An Authentic Peek

I recently began seeking out hip-hop documentaries after watching Jin's No Sleep Till Shanghai. I was pretty skeptical though as to how much a superstar like Jay-Z would be willing to show. It's actually a much more insightful doc than I expected, in terms of understanding the music process. I was surprised how much, and sometimes how little, effort goes into making an album, especially for an artist of Jay's stature. Of course, Fade to Black can also be enjoyed simply for its concert footage, which makes this an excellent film overall.Movie Review: Can I Get An Encore?

I honestly can't believe this DVD has a mere 3 and a half stars. People writing in, "This isn't music", are obviously not hip-hop fans, which is why the number is sunk low. Jay-Z's "Fade To Black" was absolutely great. The Michael Jordan of rap retires. I'd like to see those people who are saying "This isn't music" go into a booth in 15 minutes and do your verses without pencil or paper, and do it in one take like he did. He's a genious. Get this DVD if you're a fan of Hip-Hop or Jay-Z.Movie Review: exceptional in every way

I'm quite convinced that this is the most watched DVD I've ever owned, I must have seen it 30 times. Jay-Z's madison gig must've been one of the greatest nights in entertainment history, and for a fan unable to be there that night, this is the next best thing. the event was captured in an outstanding way, just watching this makes me bop my head, jump around the room and sends mad chills down my back. One of the greatest concerts ever performed and THE best live capturing.

DOPE Video! Felt like I was right there at the concert. Best viewed with the surround sound on so you can hear the beats and the whole vibe.
Hip hop is here to stay. It's hard to accept but it's here! For all that enjoy the "Culture" nod your head....those who don't...well you have a right to your way. Black + Latino cultures are beautiful and this DVD shines light on them both...from Marcy to Madison!

This Movie Is Going To Be Collectible for any hip-hop fan cause jay-z is a legendary artist that has a legacy in music and respect all over the world! I DEFINETELY RECCOMEND THIS MOVIE!
