The A&E version far outshines all the other versions ever made. The characters are passionate and carry the story out beautifully & elegantly. Closest thing to the novel..LOVED IT, LOVED IT!! If your a romantic buff and adore Bronte's Jane Eyre, you have to see this it's worth every penny!Movie Review: Jane at her best!

This is by far the best Jane Eyre out there at this time...the performances are brilliant, the original text respected...the character of Rochester is for once done as it was meant to be done. I rented this dvd and loved it so much that i bought it the next day here on Amazon. I loved the chemistry and passion between Jane and Mr. Rochester. You must see this version! This film follows pretty good with the novel by Charlotte Bronte, the only difference is that this film version makes St. John a little nicer than in the book and never shows that they are related. Besides this, I think this book is a good adaptation of the novel.Movie Review: This is sooooo good!

If you liked Pride and Prejudice (a&e), Ang Lee's Sense and Sensibility, Paltrow's Emma and Ciaran's other of this type, Persuasion... this is even better. Why? It is the passion; these actors do an excellent job:what chemistry, what angst. I loved it!!!
