Movie Review: Iron Will is a must buy
Summary: 4 Stars

Dear Amazon,

I would recommend "Iron Will," because it's very exciting. The reason I say it is very exciting is because there is a lot of drama and extreme emotion. It takes place in Alaska during the dog sled race. The main character, Will, saw his dad die at the beginning of the movie so he entered the race. He needed to earn the $10,000 prize money to be able to keep the family farm and help him go to college. This movie is based on a true story. It can teach you about the Iditarod trail and see how people race with dogs. It also is a good example of how to accept responsibility and show good manners. If you like adventure movies, or movies with courage and hope buy this movie today.

Iron Will (Clam)

During 4 weeks of fine snow, my grade 6 class often had "dog" sled races for phys-ed, as the teamwork warm-up for tobogganing. They loved it and were eager to learn about dog sled races; the Iditarod and others. It even integrated into our unit on Native peoples. As a finale, when the snow was fast disappearing we watched Iron Will. They were impressed with the determination and optimism that Will carried throughout the challenge.

Disney can still produce a film where every family member can watch without being scadalized. The film is about a teenaged boy that enters a race that gives him an education from the school of "hard-knocks". Overcoming a seemingly fore-gone conclusion, Will (the main character) continues the race casting greed and cheating asunder. And kudos to Aston McKinsey (playing Will) for real acting in the bitter cold, snow, and dark of night!! No special effects here; everything is the real mccoy!

I enjoyed this movie. The story is timeless and teaches strong values. Will starts out as a very trusting person. He learns along the way some valuable "life lessons" - how to protect oneself without becoming hard and jaded or sacrificing one's values.
