Movie Reviews of Inspector Lynley - Set 2Movie Review: Insp. Lyndley, Season 2 Summary: 5 Stars
Always really intriging. I'd missed a few of them, and now I can really say that I dislike that girlfriend of his. What a self-serving jerk! I hope she "grows" on me thru the later tapes.
Movie Review: SUPER SERIES Summary: 5 Stars
You'll get hooked once you start this series.
Can not go wrong with purchasing this set or any one of the series.
Movie Review: Lynley show shines Summary: 5 Stars
Excellent acting and condensed story line....some jumps assume you know the plot on the whole Havers outshines Lynley
Movie Review: From least favorite to most! Summary: 4 Stars
Imagine my surprise when I started watching this season and my least favorite character from the books (Havers) becomes my most favorite character in the series! Again, I can't stress how different the show is from the books (for me, at least). And even though there is some background on their personal lives, each mystery is fairly self-contained. You could watch a single show and still enjoy the central story, even if you knew nothing about the background of the main characters.
This puts it high on my list of 'good mystery shows', up there with 'Midsomer Murders', 'Rosemary & Thyme', and 'Hamish MacBeth'. If you're a fan of British mysteries, check this series out!
Movie Review: DVD's vs BOOKS Summary: 4 Stars
I've read all of the Inspector Lynley books. These DVD's do come close to doing the books justice; however, some of the suspense is passed over because of time. Nevertheless, I think the stories run relatively true.
In the beginning, I didn't like the two people playing Lynley and Chevers, but I have grown used to them. The woman playing Helen, Lynley's love interest, is perfect for her part.
