Movie Reviews of In the Army Now

Movie Review: It makes the effort
Summary: 3 Stars

This movie never quite makes it to the level of being classically funny, but it does try. Made in the 1990s following Desert Storm, the movie follows a couple of losers who join the Army Reserve for a cash bonus, never dreaming that they might be sent to Chad to fight the Libyans.

The movie has "Desert Storm" written all over it, from the uniforms to the jokes but the producers clarly made an effort to put together a movie that at least TRIED to get it right. Some genuinely laugh-out-loud moments make it worth watching but not worth watchng over and over again.

Movie Review: In the Army Now!
Summary: 3 Stars

This was a pretty funny movie. Although, it is not one of the funniest movies I have seen, I can't help but watch it a few times a year. It is not long, so it makes it easy to watch and get a quick laugh. Overall, I would rate this movie 3 out of 5 stars.

Movie Review: Good Movie for one reason
Summary: 3 Stars

I enjoyed this movie because one thing. The Basic Training scene. It was filmed in the fort that i became a man, the home of the field artillery, Fort Sill, OK

Movie Review: Wow! This isn't Very Good Now Is It?
Summary: 1 Stars

After butchering science fiction AND comedy in the beyond horrible Bio-Dome (tied for the worst movie ever made besides Plump Fiction), here comes everybody's favorite retard Pauly Shore! A disgrace to the war comedy, Pauly Shore may not be as annoying as he was in Bio-Dome (that's not saying much), but anybody in the military should be rightfully insulted and shamed for this dull, unfunny comedy from one of the world's worst comedians, right up there with Carlos Mencia, Carrot Top, and the dolts who send videos into America's Funniest Home Videos (the latter is a cesspool of people who out to be sent to the slaughterhouse, along with the people who find this **** funny).

You want a war film with humor. Try Saving Private Ryan. Thanks to Matt Damon, his whole story about his brothers spying on the ugly girl seem so personally funny and memorable for him that you just can't help but laugh with him. Seriously.

For those who want a great war comedy, anything but this unfunny retard-on-celluoid is better. If you want a loony war comedy, try Tropic Thunder or the underrated 1941. Of course, when it comes to classic war comedies, you can't go wrong with Duck Soup, Chaplin's The Great Dictator, Dr. Strangelove, or Three Kings. This is a disgrace to soldiers, comedy, and war movies.
