Movie Reviews of Immortal Beloved (Deluxe Edition)Movie Review: Immortal forever Summary: 5 Stars
Some people complain about the accuracy on the historical point of view. Please disregard as the music is what make this movie an homage to this musical genius. The direction of the movie is good enough to present the brilliance and tragedy of a tortured life. I really could care the less if the historical facts were distorted movies are that. Were I focus my attention is on the sublimity of the music and the profound sentiments that come to live as an immortal legacy of the author.
Movie Review: Enchanting Summary: 5 Stars
I won't waste your tim with a long or droll review. I will simply say the New York Times is pretentious and overrated. Though it has been a couple years since I saw this movie, I rented it time and again and continued to enjoy it every single time. I am now buying for my husband, who enjoyed it even more so. Though I'm sure it was a dramatic view of the composer's life, it was positively wonderful. It wasn't just simply entertaining, it was enchanting.
Movie Review: Simply immortal Summary: 5 Stars
Despite what some people may think of this movie, I really feel that it was a great movie. The music is incredible and goes very well with the story. It could be compared to Amadeus, but that really would not do it justice, the stories are completely different. Immortal Beloved is also an opportunity for people to see that these great composers were the rock stars of that era. I would recommend this to anybody, even if they don't like classical music.
Movie Review: Awesome Summary: 5 Stars
I loved this movie and have watched it more times probably than any in my collection next to Braveheart. And like Braveheart, the soundtrack is as good as the film it supports.Gary Oldman really captures this inner struggle Beethoven must have faced throughout his life. A genius in any field usually is "all there" and to mix in losing one's hearing -- main tool of a musician -- must have been maddening. Oldman acts this out flawlessly.
Movie Review: Beethoven's Immortal Beloved Summary: 5 Stars
This take on Beethoven's love life may elicit giggles or outrage from scholars of this composer, but it made for a great movie! The characterization of Beethoven himself seemed rather extreme at times, but it made a valid point. I especially enjoyed the almost constant background music from the composer's great works, and the portrayal of life in general during this time was very vivid.
