Movie Reviews of Immortal Beloved (Deluxe Edition)Movie Review: Appalling historical innacuracy Summary: 1 Stars
One would expect a movie about a famous composer to be true to history. Suggesting that the Immortal Beloved was Beethoven's sister-in-law is sheer nonsense. If there was anyone Beethoven loathed, that was his sister-in-law! He considered her unfit as a mother, due to her past crimes involving theft and false testimony, among others. After his brother died, Beethoven did the utmost to get custody of his nephew . Film-makers would benefit from a cursory reading of Beethoven's biography before attempting to shoot a biopic movie.
