Movie Review: Love drives our lives...

If you believe in this kind of love, if you know it's there for you, if you hold it right now in your arms... this is your kind of story.
A fresh, sparkling and intelligent movie with so many great characters and moments that it could be a classic romantic comedy if it were not so new.
You'll hold it dear forever. And ever, again.
Movie Review: Cute romance...

I had my reservations about this film when I first heard about it. It was written and directed by a man, which (and you'll pardon the prejudice) doesn't usually bode well for a happy ending for the heroines. I found that at the end of this movie it didn't matter who she was with because all the characters in the triangle were well-rounded and likable.
Believe it or not, the one who stole every scene he was in was the father, played wonderfully by Anthony Head (Giles from 'Buffy'). He was positively brilliant. Everyone did a fine job in this picture though. This is definitely one of the better lesbian films out there.

Sure, it's a lighthearted comedy, a romance, and a fantasy. The plot has got about as many holes in it as your typical Hollywood romantic comedy, but I won't complain. This film really came in handy when I wanted to show to my soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend at the time what I was going through. He laughed along with me at the funny parts, cheered for the heroines to reach their happy ending and generally demonstrated that even though it's a chick flick (in more ways than the conventional one), even a guy can enjoy it. Not only that, but he and I are still the best of friends, which is a pretty darn happy ending in my opinion.Movie Review: This movie puts me in a good mood every time I watch it

I bought this movie because I loved it's plot. I was thrilled when I watched it and found it to be a very sweet film. It's plot is believable because I saw myself in this movie. I was the other woman and could relate to Luce falling in love with a married women. My road wasn't so short, but I also got the girl in the end. When I need a pick me up I put this movie on and it reminds me of the magic of falling in love, whether it be with a man or a women. But it also brings in the reality of your actions and the pain all must feel along the way. I wouldn't have wanted this movie to change in anyway. Imagine you meet that special someone at your own wedding. Imagine it is not the man you're marrying but... the florist. A girl, actually. If you can imagine this much, the rest follows naturally. It is not easy to throw away all you have even if your husband's greatest quality is that he has always been your best friend but if it's really THIS special someone that you found minutes too late nothing will be able to stop you.
Yes, it's a chick flick (for a particular type of chicks, I'd say), yes, it's a romantic comedy, yes, it's a feelgood movie. But in these three categories it gets five stars!
