I'd never heard of Il Divo until I saw them on the American Idol - Idol Gives Back show. This group was put together by Simon Cowell, and he was right on the mark! Their voices are wonderful together and I'm mesmerized by their sound - and looks. I'd love to hear them live. This DVD has lengthy interviews with Simon Cowell and the four of them - and how they've developed as a group. Included also are excerpts from their shows. I definitely recommend this DVD.Movie Review: See; Simon DOES know what he's talking about ;-)

This group is phenomenal. Their voices and harmonies are excellent and they sound and look great. This cd is really good and it's been a long wait to actually 'see' them perform. I'm not usually a fan of opera, but these guys bring about something special to this genre and some of it might be to do with their look and their youth, but I don't think anyone could really deny the talent these guys have. ENCORE is a wonderful DVD with commentary by the four singers and Simon Cowell on how the group got started in England, as well as live performance songs at a theatre in Europe. There is also another MUST HAVE DVD, IL DIVO Live at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles. If you like ENCORE, you'll LOVE the Greek Theatre live concert. I have all their CD's on my five CD carousel which I play constantly on random selection. I am an avid hooked fan!Movie Review: Il Divo dvd

The Il Divo concert in my part of the country was cancelled due to a snowstorm. I immediately ordered their DVD in the hope of seeing an "in person" performance. I was not disappointed. The DVD showed clips from their concerts as well as personal interviews, which were more personal than just enjoying their performance. I would highly recommed this DVD to any fan, but especially to anyone who has never appreciated their music.
