Movie Reviews of I Remember Candy Samples
Movie Review: Not Hardcore, but not fun for the whole family, either...
Summary: 5 Stars
First of all, even though "I Remember Candy Samples" was filmed back in the heyday of the sexual revolution, it isn't hardcore pornography, especially when compared to a lot of the stuff available in 2009. The only way anyone would be intersted in this dvd is if they were ever impressed by Candy's beautiful physique. This dvd features the legendary Candy Samples in her prime... and even though there's some horseplay with Uschi Digard, there isn't very much interesting interaction with other "actors" worth mentioning.
At one hour and twenty-five minutes, there's actually only about fifty minutes of footage that's actually worth watching. The soundtrack is basically the sort of background music one might remember from 70's TV sitcoms, and if there is any dialogue or even spoken word, I don't remember any. The worst part about the lineup is the big group scene, during which a half dozen unclothed females are fondled by some guy who looks vaguely like Dudley Moore. The film quality is very grainy and the thing seems to go on forever.
Otherwise, the quality of the dvd is pretty good. If you were even a fan of Candy's this dvd is probably worth having. The only other thing I can say about the dvd itself it is that it would have been interesting to listen to Candy's comments today to find out her thoughts about her chosen vocation.
Purchasers of this package will note that the cover of the dvd case shows some censored-looking pictures of Candy clothed in black, which is obviously drawn on. By reversing the flyer inside the plastic case however, you can get the full effect.
